Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Komen Central Texas Race for the Cure®

April 30, 2011

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the 2011 Komen Central Texas Race for the Cure on 04/30/2011 in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Central Texas Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.

Click here to visit my personal page and pledge your support.

Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in the Race or contributing generously to the 2011 Komen Central Texas Race for the Cure. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in the Central Texas area and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. Whatever you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!

Sincerely,

Erika Archie

SEVEN

In just 23 short days, my little cowgirl will be SEVEN years old!  Can you believe that?  I know I can't!  We had fun taking some quick photos this weekend while Bubby was taking a nap.  We hope to get a chance to do some more at another location, but for the mean time, here is a preview...

2011 Coryell County Youth Fair

Kylee participated in the Coryell County Youth Fair this past weekend.  She is still just a Clover Kid.  You have to be in 3rd grade to be in 4H, so we still have another year.  She and Jenna showed Mr. Gregory's goat this year.  She had so much fun.  She also entered Cake Pops, a photo of her Daddy, and a Peace Sign Shirt.  Clancy wanted in on the action so bad!

1st Grade Bento #48 - Salad

The girl LOVES salad.  She ate salad all weekend and then made sure I bought the "ingredients" at the grocery store for her to take it in her lunch.  She complained about the ranch for some reason?  Maybe because she was eating restraunt ranch all weekend?  I don't know.  I only buy Hidden Valley Ranch and she eats it every Wednesday night on her pizza and never complains.  The lettuce looks a little sad in this photo, but it didn't in "real life."

1st Grade Bento #45 - a Before and After

So I wish I would have had more time this morning.  I finally went to the grocery store and got some lunchmaking supplies.  But I had two ill kiddos last night, so we all snuggled.  Due to all the snuggling, baths had to be taken this morning.  Due to the baths, Dad made lunches.  The first pic is the lunch he had for Kylee.  Um, great try, but there is a little something missing, called nutrition. Lol.  So I gave it a slight makeover in the second pic, but I still forgot the veggie.  And how much trouble would it have been to put some cute picks or something in?  Oh well.  I am just so thankful the hubs made all our lunches this morning.  Not all would do that.  He's really wonderful.
